【Okinawa Village Time】Agricultural Culture Experience ② Life of Mr. &Mrs.Higa
■ What is Okinawa Village Time? Okinawa VillageTime is an experiential activity that allows you to discover the charm of everyday life rooted in the community by connecting with local partners (residents) who live in the Kushi area of Nago City, around Kanucha. ✨ Each local partner offers a variety of unique plans, allowing you to choose an experience that best suits your interests and lifestyle. 🌿 ■ Experience Category: Agricultural Culture Experience ■ Life of Mr. & Mrs. Higa ~A relaxing morning in the atai-gwa with a warm-hearted couple~ “Atai-gwa” refers to a small, home-style vegetable garden. Mr. and Mrs. Higa are a loving couple who enjoy a seasonal way of life, growing fresh ingredients together in the small garden beside their home. In this experience, you will join the couple in their morning routine, working together in their atai-gwa where they grow seasonal vegetables and local specialties of the Kushi area, including Futami Aka Karashina. This precious traditional vegetable is grown from heirloom seeds of native Okinawan crops that survived the devastation of the Battle of Okinawa. Spend a slow and peaceful morning surrounded by the gentle atmosphere created by the Mr.& Mrs. Higa , and enjoy a moment that reflects the warmth of everyday life in Okinawa. ■ Plan Details 1.Introduction to the atai-gwa (small garden) near the couple’s home 2.Seasonal farm work and vegetable harvesting experience (Activities may vary depending on the season) 3.Delivering harvested produce to Wansaka Oura Park or Kayo Cooperative Store ■ Reservation Flow Request Reservation → Experience Plan Adjustment → Plan Confirmation Please note: As this experience is based on the daily lives of local residents, we may suggest an alternative plan if we are unable to accommodate your request.
