Pottery Exprerience

These activities allow you to experience the local culture and stimulate your senses, such as making Shisa (Okinawan guardian lions). The experience in the relaxed island atmosphere will enrich your heart. *Please note that due to the nature of the clay, there is a possibility that the pottery may crack during the final firing process. If the work is repairable, we will repair it and send it to you. However, if the crack is too severe to repair, we will either "refund half of the experience fee" or "send you a piece created by our staff." Images 1st image: Shisa Course The traditional Okinawan guardian lion, "Shisa." This experience course allows you to create this intricately designed Shisa from scratch. You can enjoy arranging the expression and body shape like clay modeling. 2nd image: Molded Shisa Course An easy course where you add your own unique "expression" to a molded Shisa. You can spend more time creating the expression, so you're sure to be satisfied with the finished product! 3rd image: Kids Plate Course Create your own original design on a nameplate, wall hanging, or flat piece of clay! It's perfect as a souvenir of your trip or as a gift!

  • The entire process, from drying and firing to shipping, takes approximately three months.
  • Shipping is available only via cash on delivery.
  • We do not ship internationally.
  • Children aged 11 and under must be accompanied by a guardian to participate.
  • Since pottery involves kneading clay with your bare hands, we recommend that you trim your nails short before participating in the experience.
