【Okinawa Village Time】Community Connection Experience ⑨ Life of the Teniya Radio Exercise Club
■ What is Okinawa Village Time? Okinawa Village Time is an experiential activity that allows you to discover the charm of everyday life rooted in the community by connecting with local partners (residents) who live in the Kushi area of Nago City, around Kanucha. ✨ Each local partner offers a variety of unique plans, allowing you to choose an experience that best suits your interests and lifestyle. 🌿 ■ Experience Theme: Community Connection ■ Life of the Teniya Radio Exercise Club ~A 7:00 a.m. morning that feels like summer vacation days~ Teniya District, located at the northernmost part of the Kushi area in Nago City, is surrounded by mountains and blessed with breathtaking natural scenery. Every morning at 7:00 a.m., the familiar music of radio calisthenics echoes through the village. Children, elders, and neighbors gather in front of the former community store to exercise together as part of the Teniya Radio Exercise Club, a cherished daily ritual and an important place for community connection. In this experience, you’ll join local residents for morning radio exercises, chat casually, and even see local elementary school children off as they board the school bus. This light, 30-minute experience is perfect for those who want to casually try community-based activities and enjoy a slice of everyday Okinawan life. ■ Program Details 1.Community Interaction (yuntaku) with local residents in front of the Teniya Community Store 2.Radio calisthenics with residents — the lyrics might even be in Uchināguchi (Okinawan language)! 3.Seeing off the school bus (school days only) ■ Booking Flow Request reservation ⇒ Experience plan coordination ⇒ Plan confirmation Please note: As this experience is based on the daily lives of local partners (residents), we may suggest an alternative plan if your request cannot be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding.
